ProtectMyID Feature Highlight: Lost Wallet Protection

Feb 15

At the ProtectMyID blog, we try to keep the content educational and avoid talking about ourselves too much. However, some readers have been asking for more information about exactly what our great product can do. In order to answer these questions, we’re launching a recurring blog series called the ProtectMyID Feature Highlight. Each month, we’ll talk about one aspect of the product and explain just how it helps protect you from identity theft. Havequestions?  Leave us a comment below.

This month, we’re focusing on Lost Wallet Protection. I’ve shared stories on the blog before about misplacing my wallet in a crowded store only to come back minutes later and find it exactly where I left it. I recognize that I have been lucky. We’ve all experienced the anxiety of losing something important. Maybe it’s a single credit card at a restaurant, or an entire wallet full of cards.

If this happens to a ProtectMyID member, we remind them to not panic. If you don’t easily find your lost wallet, give our Lost Wallet hotline a call. Since we are able to track your cards, we can make the calls to cancel and request replacement debit, credit and medical insurance cards. In situations where credit card and medical insurance companies want to speak with you directly, your dedicated Identity Theft Resolution Agent can give you guidance and provide support to help you regain control of your identity.

At ProtectMyID, we know what steps to take, so we act quickly to help you minimize the financial damage that can happen as a result of identity theft. Had an experience with a lost wallet? Leave us a comment below!

You were indeed lucky to find your wallet where you left it.

I keep a small lead weight in mine, sounds crazy but that extra bit of weight helps me know if I walk away from somewhere without it.

Must say, your cancellation service sounds like it saves an awful lot of hassle.
